Counselling and Psychosynthesis Therapy

A Safe Space for Healing and Growth
I offer a dedicated time and space to explore what you're going through, with the guidance of a trained professional. Based in Bristol, I work face-to-face with clients locally and also provide online therapy for individuals across the UK and internationally.

Having completed my training at the Psychosynthesis Trust in London (psychosynthesistrust.org.uk), my approach is grounded in the principles of Psychosynthesis therapy — a holistic, integrative form of psychotherapy that combines the psychological and spiritual aspects of who we are.

My Approach to Therapy

Creating a Safe, Supportive Environment
My goal is to create a warm, accepting space where your thoughts, feelings, and experiences are met with empathy and without judgment. Therapy offers a unique opportunity to meet regularly with a therapist in an environment where you can truly feel heard, understood, and accepted without conditions. This therapeutic relationship can act as a powerful catalyst for insight, healing, and lasting change.

What is Psychosynthesis Therapy?
Developed by Roberto Assagioli, Psychosynthesis therapy offers a compassionate framework for understanding emotional pain, inner conflict, and personal growth. Unlike traditional therapies that aim to ‘fix’ problems, Psychosynthesis sees challenges as invitations to greater self-awareness and an opportunity for transformation.

We may explore the different parts of your inner world — sometimes called sub-personalities — and how they shape your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. As you gain awareness of these parts, you’ll have more freedom to make conscious choices and become more grounded in your true self.

Tools and Techniques

Tailored to Your Needs
Psychosynthesis therapy offers a wide range of tools to suit your individual needs. These may include:

  • Love-Will Balance: Exploring the balance between compassion and willpower.

  • Guided Imagery & Emotional Processing

  • Dream Work & Meditation

  • Creative Expression (e.g., through writing or art)

  • Body-Based Awareness and somatic techniques

I also integrate methods from other therapeutic approaches such as CBT, Gestalt, Focusing, and Existential Therapywhen appropriate.

The Therapeutic Journey

Building Trust and Exploring Depth
In our early sessions, we’ll focus on building a strong foundation of trust, care, and acceptance. As therapy progresses, we may gently explore deeper challenges, always at a pace that feels right for you. The goal is to guide you towards meaningful change that aligns with your true potential.

Is Therapy Right for Me?

Therapy can support you with a wide range of challenges, including:

  • Anxiety or depression

  • Grief and unresolved trauma

  • Early childhood wounding

  • Low self-esteem or self-criticism

  • Emotional overwhelm or anger

  • Repetitive patterns in relationships

  • A sense of disconnection or inner conflict

  • Addictive behaviors and coping patterns

  • Loss of meaning, direction, or purpose

  • Motivation, procrastination, or resistance to change

Therapy is proven to be effective for many common struggles. If any of the above resonate with you, therapy could offer meaningful support.
